Lewis-Manning Hospice Care Annual Fashion Show at Porsche Bournemouth

In September, I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the annual Lewis-Manning Hospice Care Fashion Show, held at the stunning Porsche Centre in Bournemouth. The evening brought together style, creativity, and community spirit — all in support of an incredible local charity that provides vital care and support for patients and families across Dorset.

As guests arrived, the atmosphere was buzzing. Music filled the air, glasses clinked, and everyone mingled amongst an impressive backdrop of luxury cars and high-end fashion displays. It wasn’t your average charity event — it was a glamorous night with a powerful purpose.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the show was its strong focus on sustainability and conscious fashion. Many of the outfits showcased were created from pre-loved clothing originally sold in Lewis-Manning’s charity shops. Students from Arts University Bournemouth took on the challenge of deconstructing and redesigning these items, giving them a new lease of life through bold, creative designs that graced the runway.

Alongside these one-of-a-kind student creations, guests also had the opportunity to browse and purchase discounted designer pieces, all of which were used items — proving that high fashion doesn’t have to mean high environmental impact.

Events like this remind us how much potential there is in recycling, reusing, and reimagining fashion. It’s a refreshing step away from fast fashion and a brilliant example of how style and sustainability can coexist beautifully.
