Primal Paws

I recently photographed a brand and product shoot for Primal Paws, a Poole-based raw dog food business offering personalised raw feeding plans, natural dried treats and nutrition support for dogs.

For this shoot, the aim was to create a gallery of images that felt natural, approachable and full of personality. Primal Paws wanted photography that showed the quality of their natural treats, brand values and dog-focused approach, while also giving customers a real feel for the people behind the business.

The shoot included a mix of clean product photography, lifestyle-style images, team portraits and fun branded content. We used wooden crates, natural textures, branded clothing and simple studio styling to keep the focus on the products and the Primal Paws brand.

Because Primal Paws is all about natural nutrition for dogs, it was important that the images didn’t feel too polished or clinical. The final gallery included detailed treat shots, branded setup images, relaxed portraits and playful action photos with treats being thrown in the air, giving the brand a bank of content that feels professional, friendly and full of character.

As a Dorset pet photographer, I love working with local pet businesses to create images that can be used across websites, social media, printed marketing and online shops. This shoot was a great example of how brand photography can help a business tell its story, show off its products and connect with the right customers.
