Poppy & Koda

What a beautiful morning this was! I had the absolute joy of photographing Poppy, a 12-year-old spaniel, and her little sister Koda, just 4 months old, at Canford Heath. The light was perfect — soft and golden, filtering through the trees — making it the ideal setting for capturing the pair’s bond and personalities.

From the very start, these two were full of life. Koda had endless energy, bounding through the heather and proudly carrying sticks twice her size, while Poppy, the calm and wise big sister, happily trotted alongside, joining in with the fun in her own gentle way. Seeing the two of them together was truly heartwarming — the perfect mix of playful puppy chaos and steady senior charm. 🧡

I love taking action shots, and this session couldn’t have been more perfect for it. Watching ears flying, paws mid-air, and joyful expressions as they raced down the woodland paths was pure happiness.

Canford Heath looked stunning in its autumn colours, and Poppy and Koda made the most of every inch of it — exploring, playing, and posing like pros. It was one of those mornings that just reminds me why I love what I do — capturing real moments, full of life and love.
