Photo Shoot at Our Place in Portland – Dog Friendly Holiday Cottage

I recently had the pleasure of photographing Our Place in Portland, a beautiful, dog-friendly, three-bedroom holiday cottage tucked away on the stunning Isle of Portland. Sleeping up to six guests, the cottage perfectly blends coastal charm with all the comforts of home — and we even brought along Diesel the Jackapoo to model for the shoot!

The interiors are full of character, with cozy touches like a log-stacked fireplace feature, a vibrant teal accent wall, and a light-filled living area perfect for relaxing after a day exploring the Dorset coast. The kitchen and dining space are bright and cheerful, with pops of colour and a lovely table setting ready for family meals or relaxed evenings with friends.

The bathroom caught my eye with its patterned tiles, deep bathtub, and eco-friendly toiletries — reflecting the cottage's commitment to sustainability, highlighted by its Sustainable Business Award proudly displayed inside.

One of the highlights of the cottage is the gorgeous sea view from the upstairs bedrooms. Looking out across the rooftops towards the ocean, you really get the sense that you're just steps away from adventure.

Diesel was right at home — lounging on the cozy furniture, sniffing around the enclosed garden, and generally showing just how perfect Our Place in Portland is for guests bringing their four-legged friends along. It’s truly a space where families (and their dogs!) can relax and feel welcome.

With a laid-back, coastal vibe, thoughtful touches everywhere you look, and dog-friendly accommodation, this cottage is a perfect Portland getaway for anyone looking to enjoy the Jurassic Coast with their furry companions by their side.
