Margot at Moors Valley

What an incredible morning this was! I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Margot, the most elegant little miniature dachshund, at the beautiful Moors Valley Country Park. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect — soft, golden light and crisp autumn air — setting the scene for a truly magical shoot.

Margot isn’t just any pup in front of the camera — she’s a pro! Having already featured in Vogue and even a dog breed book, she knows exactly how to work it. From her perfectly tilted head to her poised stance, she struck every pose like she’d done it a thousand times before. What amazed me most was how she’d hold her pose so gracefully and wait until the camera had finished clicking before moving. A true natural! 📸✨

Between shots, Margot was full of personality — playful, curious, and clearly loving every minute of her little woodland adventure. The autumn colours were glowing, and her beautiful coat looked incredible against the warm, earthy tones of Moors Valley’s trails and trees.

It was such a joy to capture her confidence, charm, and unmistakable model flair. Working with Margot was an absolute dream — and I can totally see why she’s already made her mark in the dog modelling world! 🧡
