Koda's 4th Birthday

Koda will always be a particularly special dog to photograph, as he was the very first Leonberger I met and photographed at the beginning of 2025. Since then, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing him many times in different locations and seasons.

For this session, we met at beautiful Badbury Rings to celebrate Koda’s birthday. The open countryside, long golden grasses and warm evening light were perfect for showing off his magnificent coat, while the woodland gave us another beautiful backdrop. We also captured some lovely photographs of Koda with his owner.

Thanks to Koda, Leonbergers have quickly become one of my favourite breeds to photograph — and I’ve now had more than 20 of these wonderful gentle giants in front of my camera!
