Koda the Bear (Leonberger)

Koda the Leonberger absolutely owned autumn at the stunning Moors Valley a couple of weeks ago. We headed out early on a mid-week morning and it felt like we had the whole forest to ourselves—quiet paths, crisp air, and the softest golden light pouring through the trees. Dreamy conditions and the perfect model… what more could I ask for?

Koda was an absolute star: calm, happy, and so well-behaved, bouncing between sniffs like the goodest boy. I’ve photographed him a few times before.. at the beach, amongst old church ruins, and on a summer woodland walk, but this might be my favourite backdrop yet for him. Those rich autumn hues wrap around his coat so beautifully... the golds and copper tones were made for him.
