Dougie Xmas beach shoot

Sandbanks beach was looking like a Christmas card for Dougie’s festive photo shoot — and it felt extra special because this is the boy who started my 2025 dog photography journey and is also part of the year’s end 🎄🐾

We kept it simple and fun, letting Dougie do his thing while we wandered along the sand and shoreline. He was such a good boy for his photos, giving me those lovely calm sits one minute and then getting distracted by the sea the next (as they always do!).

He looked seriously handsome in his festive bits too — the little red cape and reindeer antlers suited him so well, and his bright eyes just popped in that golden winter light.

Ending the year with Dougie felt like a full-circle moment. He’s the one who made me realise just how much I love photographing dogs, and I’ll always be grateful for that. 🤍📸
