A Morning with Cas & Oreo at Canford Heath

This morning was one of those truly special shoots that stay with you long after you’ve packed away your camera. I spent a beautiful few hours wandering around Canford Heath with Cas and her gorgeous 11-year-old chocolate Labrador, Oreo — and what an absolute joy he is.

Oreo has faced more challenges than most dogs ever will, having battled mobility issues since he was just 9 months old. Yet even with limited use of his back legs, this incredible boy continues to show the world what true strength, love, and happiness look like. He might move a little slower these days, but his spirit? As bright as ever.

Armed with his trusty sling and buggy for the longer stretches, Oreo enjoyed every moment of his walk — from sniffing through the autumn leaves to crunching on a good stick and, of course, tucking into plenty of tasty treatos along the way! 🐾

Cas’s love and devotion to her boy shines through in everything she does. The bond they share is something truly beautiful — one built on patience, understanding, and a lifetime of shared adventures. Watching them together was a reminder of just how deep the connection between humans and their dogs can be.

The golden autumn tones at Canford Heath made the perfect backdrop for capturing Oreo’s kind eyes and joyful smile. Despite everything he’s been through, his happiness is contagious — a true testament to his resilience and Cas’s care.
