Willow

I recently photographed the beautiful Willow during a golden hour dog photo shoot at Sandbanks Beach in Poole.

Willow is 14 years old and is a lovely mix of Irish Terrier, Parsons Terrier and a little bit of Border Terrier. She has such a soulful, gentle expression, and her session was all about capturing her character in a relaxed and natural way.

Sandbanks was the perfect setting for her shoot. The evening light was soft and golden, catching the edges of her fur and giving the whole gallery a really warm, peaceful feel. We used the dunes, beach grasses, rocks and shoreline to create a mix of portraits, close-ups and gentle action shots.

At 14, Willow still had so much personality to show. From her sweet little poses in the sand to her brighter, playful moments, she was a joy to photograph. There is something really special about senior dog shoots, especially when they capture all the little details that make them so loved.

Willow’s photo shoot was a beautiful reminder that dog photography does not have to be about perfect posing. Sometimes the most meaningful images come from the quiet moments, the soft expressions and the bond you can see in a dog’s eyes.
