Teddy is a dog I have had the pleasure of photographing a few times before, so it was really lovely to see him again for a spring session at Pamphill amongst the bluebells.
Pamphill is always such a beautiful spot at this time of year, and Teddy looked completely at home there. His soft apricot coat worked so perfectly against the purple bluebells and fresh spring greens, and the golden evening light made everything feel even more magical. He is such a handsome Cockapoo, with the sweetest expression and so much charm in front of the camera.
One thing that is really important to me during bluebell season is making sure these beautiful areas are treated with care. No bluebells were harmed during Teddy’s shoot. I always stick to pathways and any little sections that have already been naturally flattened or disturbed by wildlife, so I can create these images while still respecting the woodland.
One of the nicest things about photographing dogs more than once is getting to capture them in different moments and seasons. Each session feels a little different, but still just as special. Teddy was as lovely as ever, and it was a joy to create another gallery full of natural portraits and little moments that really show his personality.
The bluebells at Pamphill are always a favourite for a reason. They create such a dreamy backdrop, and Teddy made the most of every part of it, from sitting so beautifully amongst the flowers to exploring the woodland in the soft evening light.
It is always such a privilege when clients return to me, and Teddy’s shoot was another reminder of why I love photographing dogs in places as beautiful as this. A gorgeous dog, a stunning Dorset location and a spring evening full of colour made this one such a lovely session to capture.
